Factorization and the Soft-Collinear Effective Theory: Color-Suppressed Decays
نویسندگان
چکیده
We discuss the soft-collinear effective theory (SCET) and kinematic expansions in B-decays, focusing on recent results for color suppressed B → D(∗)X decays. In particular we discuss model independent predictions for B̄ → Dπ and B̄ → D∗0π0, and update the comparison using new experimental data. We show why HQET alone is insufficient to give these results. SCET predictions are also reviewed for other B and Λb decay channels that are not yet tested by data. Factorization and the Soft-Collinear Effective Theory: Color-Suppressed Decays

Factorization of heavy-to-light form factors in soft-collinear effective theory
Heavy-to-light transition form factors at large recoil energy of the light meson have been conjectured to obey a factorization formula, where the set of form factors is reduced to a smaller number of universal form factors up to hard-scattering corrections. In this paper we extend our previous investigation of heavy-to-light currents in soft-collinear effective theory to final states with invar...
متن کاملGeneral Theoretical Introduction to Hadronic B Decays
I briefly introduce the theoretical frameworks for studies of two-body hadronic B meson decays, which include the factorization assumption, the QCD-improved factorization, the perturbative QCD, the soft-collinear effective theory, the light-cone QCD sum rules, and the quark-diagram parametrization.
متن کاملThe B π form factor from light-cone sum rules in soft-collinear effective theory
Recently, we have derived light-cone sum rules for exclusive B-meson decays into light energetic hadrons from correlation functions within soft-collinear effective theory [1]. In these sum rules the short-distance scale refers to “hard-collinear” interactions with virtualities of order ΛQCDmb. Hard scales (related to virtualities of order mb) are integrated out and enter via external coefficien...

Working within the framework of the QCD light cone sum rules (LCSR), we compute and discuss the nonfactorizable higher twist effect in B̄0 → D∗0π0 to make an all-around examination of its role in the charmed color-suppressed B decays. Analogously to the case of B̄0 → D0π0, such effect turns out to be of the same strong phase as the factorizable amplitude, and modifies constructively the magnitude...
متن کاملΠ Decays from the Soft - Collinear Effective Theory
The application of factorization to exclusive processes has been around now for 25 years (see 1 for a review of the early literature). These factorization theorems have been traditionally proved using diagrammatic methods in perturbation theory. Apart from being rather involved technically, this approach has met with very limited success beyond leading order in the 1/Q expansion, where power su...
